The city of Ayodhya, situated on the banks of the river Saryu, is known as the birthplace of Lord Rama. It is believed that Manu, the first man in the world, settled it and named it Ayodhya. Which means war is not possible to fight. Earlier it was also known as Kaushal Desh. In the Satyuga, Lord Rama was born as a human being to King Dasaratha of Ayodhya. Due to which the name of this state increased throughout the country. Lord Rama ascended the throne of Ayodhya after killing a powerful demon like Ravana. No people were ever unhappy during the reign of Lord Rama and peace remained throughout the kingdom.

For some years, every small Deepawali is celebrated here with Deep Utsav, in which about 10,000 oil lamps are lit on the banks of river Saryu, in which many schools, colleges and other committees take part. On this day, the entire Ayodhya city is decorated with oil lamps and lights.

Ayodhya Ram Mandir:

ayodha-ram-mandir Ayodhya being the city of Lord Shri Ram, there was a grand temple at the birth place of Lord Shri Ram. But it is believed that the Mughal ruler Babur demolished this temple and built a grand mosque during his reign. Which is known as Babri Masjid. Later this mosque was demolished by some Hindu community and claimed that this place is the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram and here was the first Ram temple. Which we have been hearing even today in the name of Ayodhya dispute, but now the court has expressed its reaction on this whole matter.

Hanumangarhi Ayodhya

ayodha-hanuman-garhi It is believed that when the four brothers and mother Sita, including Lord Shri Ram, were immersing themselves in the river Saryu. Then the responsibility of taking care of this entire state was handed over to Sri Hanuman. By following this command and with the blessings of Mother Sita, Shree Hanuman remains seated in the city of Ayodhya in one way or the other. The devotees first see Lord Hanuman in Ayodhya and then Lord Shri Ram. After climbing 76 ladders, this temple sits in a small cave with Bal Hanuman Mata Anjani. This temple was built by Sultan Mayur Ali in 52 bighas of land, which was then the Nawab of Awadh.

Nageshwar Nath Temple:

ayodhya-nageshiwar-nath On the banks of the Saryu River in Ayodhya is a famous temple of Lord Shiva known as Nageshwarnath. It was built by Kush, son of Lord Shri Ram. It was believed that a Nagakanya fell in love with Kush, and for this Kush built this magnificent temple.

Kanak Bhavan:

ayodhya-knaka-bhawan Kanak Bhavan is also one of the most famous temples in Ayodhya. Which was built by the queen of Tikamgarh. Lord Rama sits in this temple wearing a gold crown with Mother Sita which attracts a lot of devotees.

सरयू नदी के तट पर स्थित अयोध्या नगरी को भगवान श्री राम की जन्म स्थली के नाम से जाना जाता है। माना जाता है कि संसार के पहले मनुष्य मनु ने इसे बसाया था। और इसका नाम अयोध्या रखा। जिसका अर्थ है ा-युद्ध अर्थात जिस से युद्ध करना संभव ना होसतयुग में भगवान राम स्वयं मनुष्य के रूप में अयोध्या के राजा दशरथ के यहां जन्म लिये। जिससे इस राज्य का नाम पूरे देश में बढ़ गया। भगवान राम रावण जैसे शक्तिशाली राक्षस को मारने के बाद अयोध्या के सिंहासन पर बैठे। भगवान राम के शासनकाल में कोई भी प्रजा कभी दुखी नहीं थी। और पूरे राज्य में शांति बनी हुई थी। भगवान राम रावण जैसे शक्तिशाली राक्षस को मारने के बाद अयोध्या के सिंहासन पर बैठे। भगवान राम के शासनकाल में कोई भी प्रजा कभी दुखी नहीं थी और पूरे राज्य में शांति बनी हुई थी।

कुछ वर्षों से हर छोटी दीपावली को यहां पर दीप उत्सव मनाया जाता है, इसमें लगभग 10,000 तेल के दीपक सरयू नदी के तट पर जलाए जाते हैं। जिसमें कई स्कूलों कॉलेजों और अन्य समिति के लोग हिस्सा लेते हैं और इस दिन पूरे अयोध्या नगरी को तेल के दीपक व लाइट से सजा दिया जाता है।

अयोध्या राम मंदिर:

ayodha-ram-mandir अयोध्या भगवान श्रीराम की नगरी होने के कारण यहां पर भगवान श्री राम के जन्म स्थान पर एक भव्य मंदिर था। लेकिन ऐसा माना जाता है कि मुगल शासक बाबर ने अपने शासनकाल में इस मंदिर को गिरा करके एक भव्य मस्जिद का निर्माण करवाया। जिसे बाबरी मस्जिद के नाम से जाना जाता है। बाद में इस मस्जिद को कुछ हिंदू समुदाय के लोगों ने तोड़ दिया और दावा करने लगे कि यह स्थान भगवान श्री राम की जन्म स्थली है और यहां पर पहले राम मंदिर था। जिसे आज भी हम अयोध्या विवाद के नाम से सुनते आ रहे हैं, परंतु अब कोर्ट ने इस पूरे मामले पर अपनी प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त कर दी है।

हनुमानगढ़ी अयोध्या:

ayodha-hanuman-garhi माना जाता है कि जब भगवान श्री राम समेत चारों भाई और माता सीता अपने आपको सरयू नदी में समाहित कर रहे थे, तो इस पूरे राज्य की देखभाल की जिम्मेदारी श्री हनुमान जी को सौंप दिया था। इसी आज्ञा का पालन करते हुए और माता सीता के आशीर्वाद से श्री हनुमान जी आज भी अयोध्या नगरी में किसी ना किसी रूप में विराजमान रहते हैं। श्रद्धालु पहले अयोध्या में श्री हनुमान जी का फिर भगवान श्री राम का दर्शन करते हैं। यह मंदिर 76 सीढ़ी चढ़ने के बाद एक छोटी गुफा में बाल हनुमान माता अंजनी के साथ विराजमान हैं। इस मंदिर का निर्माण सुल्तान मयूर अली ने 52 बीघा भूमि में करवाई थी। जो उस समय अवध का नवाब था।

नागेश्वर नाथ मंदिर:

ayodhya-nageshiwar-nathअयोध्या में सरयू नदी के तट पर भगवान शिव का एक प्रसिद्ध मंदिर है। जिसे  नागेश्वरनाथ के नाम से जाना जाता है। इसका निर्माण भगवान श्री राम के पुत्र कुश  ने करवाया था। और माना जाता है कि एक नागकन्या को कुश से प्रेम हो गया था और उसी के लिए कुश ने इस भव्य मंदिर का निर्माण करवाया।

कनक भवन:

ayodhya-knaka-bhawan कनक भवन भी अयोध्या के सभी मंदिरों में से एक प्रसिद्ध मंदिर है। जिसका निर्माण टीकमगढ़ की रानी ने करवाया था। इस मंदिर में भगवान राम माता सीता के साथ सोने का मुकुट पहने हुए विराजमान हैं। जो कि श्रद्धालुओं को बहुत ज्यादा आकर्षित करता है
